Excellent Reference Sites!
Hello and Welcome, Initiates, Proven and Brethren
This shall be our makeshift home off of the game for now, as it seems the logistics of contacting each and every one of you every time we make an update to the Academy is slowly killing me. This website is, for the most part, strictly informational and organizational in purpose as I'd like the Academy to remain a primarily In-Game establishment.
That being said, feel free to post in the forums if you have questions or observations and help yourself to any of the assets the site can provide. Hopefully this will make things run a bit more smoothly.
Unfortunately, as GuildPortal.com does not have a specific template for DragonRealms, I've been forced to use a template for some other game. I chose "Dragon Empires" as it sounded the most similar, so many things won't quite add up (like your class choice and server name in the Roster). My only advice is to simply ignore these things and don't worry over them. They won't impact our operations in any way. Thanks!
Penned in my hand,
Keeper of Lore, Lochran Aybara
Who is the Academy of the Grove?
, Jul 22, 10 6:05 PM.
I am Tolcon Fangblade, Armsmaster of the Brotherhood. I would like to take the time to explain a little bit to the Academy and any new mages that may be interested in joining us what our goals are. The Academy of the Grove was not founded to train hardcore elite mages or in hopes of proving ourselves to others. The purpose of the academy is to provide fun and friendly environment to new war mages in the realms so that they can enjoy learning about our guild without harassment or being ridiculed.
That does not mean we will turn you away if you are someone that wants to become one of the best mages around. It is simply saying that we will not try to force you into becoming something you don't want to be. There are many different ways of life in the realms and soon to be many more with the release of crafts. It is my hope that the academy will not only prepare our young war mages how to defend themselves but also how to embrace other aspects of Elanthia.
We currently hold lectures on Lore, Magic, Combat, and Etiquette. As the students learn and the academy grows I'm sure we will have many more styles of classes to learn from. I would like to also point out that it is not required that you come to these meetings/lectures. We will still be willing to help if you come to us with questions or perhaps needing a little help. However, if you want to become what we refer to as proven then meetings and lectures is something you must attend atleast some time.
I hope to see many new faces among us soon. You will often find me out in front of the Crossing guild teaching my usual TM class if you have any questions or need any help. Other wise just leave it here on the site and I'll get to it as fast as possible.
